Dear God,
You are the heavenly Father and divine Mother of all men, women, and children on this planet. We are all Your children. We know that You love us all equally and that You are present with each of us. You know where each one of us is at all times. We can never be separated from You.
I plead with David for all the children who have been taken from their parents (see Psalm 139:7-10).
Where can they be taken that Your spirit is not with them? Where could they possibly be sent that is outside Your presence? If they are removed to a safe place or in a hell-hole of fear, You are still with them. Where ever they are, You are present loving them, and giving them comfort, hope, and courage until they are reunited with their families.”
Dear God,
Amidst all the confusion, finger pointing, and conflicting opinions about what caused the problem and what the solutions are to the immigration issues in the United States, remind us how to love little children the way Jesus did. He said, “Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not, for of such is the kingdom of God.” (Mark 10:14 KJV) He did not turn them away nor separate them from their parents. He blessed them.
Shall we turn away or cause harm to representatives of the kingdom of God?
Give us the heart of Jesus to love these children who have been taken from their parents. To everyone involved in creating this problem and now those who will try to fix it, bathe them in compassion for the children. Open their eyes to see what Jesus saw in them: the Innocents of heaven.
Dear God,
Give courage and hope to all the parents whose children have been taken from them. Comfort them. You know their hearts. You know why they fled their home countries. You know their desire to have the best for their families. Heal the evils in their homelands that drove them to leave. Treat them with Your justice but also with Your mercy.
Give all those involved the wisdom to speedily reunite each and every child with their families. You know all the details of how this will work out. Let Your light shine in the hearts of those in charge.
And though the drama and trauma be mighty, You are mightier still. Let no scars go unhealed as the years pass by. Let forgiveness ring in the hearts of the children, their parents, and all involved.
Dear God,
I humbly pray for forgiveness of the sins we have committed as a nation, often times in Your name or in Your Son’s name. Open our blind eyes and cold hearts to see the crimes we have committed against Your children. Dish up as much humble pie as it takes for us to repent individually and collectively of any inhumanity we are guilty of in the past or the present.
To those who have responded with compassion, give them wisdom to act rightly in ways that will bless and do much good. To those whose hearts are rusty from lack of use and indifference, anoint them with the holy oil of compassion to dissolve their fears and free their hearts from bondage to darkness.
Give everyone involved the wisdom and inspiration to find lasting solutions on every level to the problems at hand.
Dear God,
Help the Republicans and the Democrats love each other. Give them the willingness to see things from each other’s perspective, even though they have honest disagreements. Help them find true solutions they all can support and that actually solve the problem. Help them see past partisan blindness, to what Your will is.
Give them all the spirit of humility that can admit they need Your help and that Your will alone will be a solution. Rebuke their self-justification and self-righteousness. Break their pride and lust for power. Build their compassion and ability to hear and obey Your still, small voice.
You, God, alone can solve this problem we face. You alone are the answer. No personal opinion or political party has favor in Your eyes. You are no respecter of persons. You are impartial and support what will bless all Your children and not just a few of them.
Dear God,
Some trust in horses and some trust in chariots. Some trust in political parties and governmental policies. But we put all our trust in You alone to help these children, young and old, those who have been taken from their parents and those who have separated themselves from Your love and relied upon human ways and means instead.
You are supreme over all. Open our eyes to see more of Your love and help us live it with every one we meet. Open our hearts to the great spiritual fact that You are the Father and Mother of all concerned in this border and immigration issue. There is no us and them. There is only You and all Your children, one complete spiritual family.
We trust You to reveal the solutions that will bless all Your children.
We thank You right now for hearing this prayer. Thank You for answering this prayer with showing us Your will.
Amen
Please pray for the children. I’d love to hear your thought below.
Blessings to you all.
