Sometimes the Bible seems like a bunch of old stories that aren’t really relevant in today’s modern world, but the more I read about the people in the Bible, the more amazed I am that most of them were just like you and me. They had their problems. They made mistakes. They didn’t always do what God told them to. But God still used them to accomplish a greater purpose.

What if you could read the Bible as if it was the first time you’d ever seen it? Let’s look at the Scriptures from a fresh perspective. Sometimes we have to let go of our preconceptions and opinions, the man-made dogmas and doctrines, the rules and regulations, that have crept into the church over the last 2,000 years. The real question is: Does it ring true to what Jesus said and did?
This website is about getting back to the original Christianity of Jesus, with his focus on healing and salvation, and his promise that the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Now, a little about me…
I grew up in Amarillo, TX in a mainline Protestant church. But when I was in high school, a Sunday School teacher said, “God doesn’t speak to us today. We have the Bible and that’s all we need.” At that moment, I knew I needed to find a new church home. That’s how I ended up in the Christian Science church. And that’s still my church home.

Basically I’m a Bible teacher. Since October 2008 I’ve conducted Bible study workshops at the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, CT. And I give talks and conduct workshops on the Bible covering a wide range of topics to churches and groups as well as online. I started The Bible Speaks to You Podcast in October 2019, which has had listeners in 177 countries.
My goal is to help you embrace the mindset of Jesus and discover your God-given ability to think, pray, and love like Jesus.
